Dragonfly Key Feature and Giveaway!

I'm excited to introduce you to Dragonfly Key, a great shop I stumbled
across. Tashina the owner creates and sells this beautiful jewelry. She
is very talented! I love the colors and different style beads she uses.
She is also a Twilight fan like myself and plans to make Twilight
inspired jewelry in the future. I can't wait to see her creations!





I asked Tashina to share a little about herself and Dragonfly Key
here's what she had to say:




I'm Tashina to most, Tashi to very few. I'm 17 and live in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Norther Virginia. I love beading, have done it since I was 13, and knowing people will actually buy my pieces is still a wonder to me today.
When I am not beading, I'm usually writing, as I want to a published author someday. Most of my time is taken with just those two things since I am not in school anymore after graduating last year from being homeschooled.
Other times, I can be found messing around with my family and friends.
As for the making of Dragonfly Key, it came quite suddenly. I constantly thought about not doing the business, wondering if it might not be worthwhile for me, and everytime I would doubt it, a dragonfly flew around outside, as if waiting for me to say yes. And when I did, it disappeared instantly.

Bibs4drips Review and Giveaway!!!

I'm pleased to introduce you to Bibs4drips. This is a great Etsy shop I found that sells handmade baby items.The owner Edith was kind enough to send me a bib and burpie to review. It came packaged so nicely.I just love the little tags that come with these items. I was also very impressed at how much care was put in to making them .She uses soft fabrics with the cutest designs. The Bibs are just the right size to do the job and not cover your baby's cute outfit.The snaps on the bibs are so much easier than velcro.I loved the burpie, it had a very cute design and was just the right size.She also makes cute little lovies that your baby will love to play with. All of her items are inexpensive and would make a wonderful gift for yourself , or any expecting mom.I know where I'll be shopping the next time I need a baby shower gift!









These cute little bibs can be ordered for Boy, Girl, or in Neutral colors.







I love these burb cloths. I used so many burpies with both my babies.
They also can be made with different color choices.





I asked Edith some questions to get to know her better.
Here's what she had to say:



1)What inspired you to start making these wonderful items?

My daughter who was 5 months old then and an avid drooler gave me the idea of a small bib that wasn’t covering her beautiful clothes and caught most of the dribs. I made few bibs for myself and soon people started commenting about them. So I made more. Shortly after, I noticed that my daughter played so much with tags that were attached to blankets and toys. So I made a little lovie for her. Again, my friends loved the idea and now Loveme or Hugme is the 2^nd best selling item in my shop. When I have time, I am making more baby friendly items (just added burp clothes) and working on blankets.

Since I am also a big photographer, I make my own cards and sell those on Etsy as well. (http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5990837)

So my inspiration comes from necessity. And love for beautiful things. Photos. Fabrics. Colorful ribbons. My children. Thinking about something and then make it.

2) When did bibs4drips get started?

I started making bibs4drips in the spring of 2008. I took a break during last summer but went full steam in the fall of 2008. Started blogging, twittering, opened the Etsy shop.

3) Any additional info would be great too...

Taking care of my two beautiful children, 4 years old boy and 15 months old daughter and my handsome and smart husband. Keeping in touch with my girlfriends. Eating Chinese and Vietnamese food. Chatting in Etsy chats. Twittering. Taking more pictures to make more cards and to add to my blog. Oh yes, blogging and reading lots of blogs. And trying to sew and sew and sew. Which sometimes is hard with two little kids in the house.
