OODLES OF DOODLES Review/Giveaway

I recently came across this great Etsy shop called ODDLES OF DOODLES paintings & prints.
The shop owner Tracy is so very talented. She focuses on children's paintings and has just added
animal portraits. Tracy sent me two paintings to review, one a Jungle animals and the other a dog portrait.The Jungle animals print looks great in my son's room.And the dog portrait looks so realistic. I am so impressed with her work!
She puts so much care in to the details of her paintings.
It's really something you have to see for yourself. Here are a few of her paintings.






I asked Tracy some questions about herself and shop.Here's what she had to say...

What inspires your work?
1. I have always painted, mostly watercolor paintings of landscapes and wildlife and sold them in galleries. I was also an art teacher for eight years. After having kids I stopped teaching to stay at home with them, but soon quickly realized how much I missed my students creativity. I needed a change, and was inspired to create a line of children prints after the birth of my third daughter. Painting for children is so uplifting and fun! I love the freedom of painting something whimsical and colorful and not having to worry about it looking realistic.

When did you get your shop started?
2. I started to sell my prints on Etsy last fall. Before that I had been selling my prints on Ebay for about a year. I love it! I plan on creating many more prints and selling them for a very long time!

3. I chose the name of my store for a very specific reason. I new I would want to paint a variety of subject matter and wanted everything I painted to belong in my store. That's why I call my store, Oodles of Doodles Paintings & Prints. Right now I'm taking a break from painting for children and currently working on a new series of paintings - dog and cat portraits. In the comming weeks I will put up all my new prints. Once I get these paintings out of my system I will be back to painting for children!

lil boo & co. review and giveaway

I was recently given the opportunity to review some great items with my kids.
Nicole over at lil boo & co sent me a boo boo cube and a crayon roll. I have
enjoyed these items with my kids. The boo boo cubes are awesome for all the
bumps and bruises kids get. You simply toss them into the freezer and when
you need them they are good and cold. You can also heat them in the microwave.
They come in lots of different designs and are very cute.
My son has used our boo boo cube a few times already and we love it!



We also reviewed the crayon roll. My son was most excited about this.
These crayon rolls even come with eight crayons inside, ready to be put to use.
They are great to toss into a bag with
some paper when you are on the go.
My kids love to color, so this will be a well used item. These crayon rolls are
a must have for any parents on the go. Nicole also makes the cutest little hair clips I have ever seen.All the items at lil boo & co are very inexpensive.
